Here's a guide on how to generate and print QR codes for assets and locations within Almitee.
Selection: On the overview page, you can select multiple assets or locations for which you want to generate QR codes.
Printing Options: After selection, click on "print QR codes." For assets, you can choose from several QR code styles:
QR code only
QR code with additional information
QR code with the asset's name or number
For locations, the option typically includes the QR code with the location's name or identifier.
You can also generate a QR code for an individual asset or location directly from its detail page, offering a quick way to create a QR code for a specific item or location.
Sticker Format Selection: Almitee allows you to select the sticker format or size that suits your needs, ensuring compatibility with your sticker paper.
Customization Options: When setting up your QR code printout, you'll be able to specify various dimensions and spacing to align with your sticker sheet, including:
Width and height of each sticker
Number of stickers per page
Top margin to the first row of stickers
Left margin to the first column of stickers
Horizontal gap between stickers
Vertical gap between stickers
QR Code Generation: After selecting your QR code type and sticker specifications, Almitee will generate a PDF containing the formatted QR codes.
PDF Review: It's recommended to review the PDF to ensure that all QR codes are correctly aligned and formatted according to your specifications.
Printing: Print the PDF on your sticker paper. Ensure your printer settings match the paper type and size to achieve the best results.
Placement: Attach QR codes to assets or at locations in a visible and accessible spot for easy scanning.
Quality Check: Ensure the QR codes are printed clearly to avoid scanning issues.
Record Keeping: Keep a record of where each QR code is placed to streamline future maintenance or updates.
